U.S. Peavey Club

I've been selling my Peavey basses for the last year or two, I am down to my '62 Corvette blue Gen 2 Fury (for sale on Austin Craigslist right now) and Mech's old "ash" Gen I Fury w/tort pickguard and rosewood fretboard.
I think I will hold on to the Gen I and my two Yamaha Attitude basses.

We are going to look at moving from Austin to western North Carolina after my wife finally retires in a few months.
It's about 1100 miles northeast and definitely more temperate.
We get 123 days per year with temperatures exceeding 90 degrees, and after 29 years of that we're ready for something a little less hot but don't want to go back to cold/grey western New York state.
Can't afford to live in Austin anymore, population has grown to 2.42 million people in the Austin Metro Area and the cost of housing and property taxes has gotten insane.
Elon Musk built a Space X plant and his Boring Company facility about a mile from my front door so this area will keep growing quickly for the next decade and we are ready for a smaller/quieter place.

After all the years of wanting and waiting and working I finally have a dedicated jam space to hold all my basses and other misc. music stuff! I am going to have my whole Peavey bass collection all out together for a photo shoot soon. Everything is done except not quite electrified yet, hopefully done done this weekend. I figured I'd share it here first, cuz you all are my TB peeps!

I own a red 1991 Peavey Dyna 5 and a natural 1979 Peavey T-40 but I always wanted a black bass, so when a cheap priced "student" Peavey Milestone 4 popped up at one of my Aussie music stores for only a couple hundred dollars I bought it. This is another iteration of the Milestone series with the Milestone 1 released about 1994 (unsure of the Milestone II release), Milestone III approx 1999 with Jazz pickups and afterwards with the Milestone IV with a P pickup and a Milestone BXP International version also.
This Milestone 4 is a P/J pickup config.
I wasnt after a high end bass and wanted more of a project bass - something I could upgrade for a minimum cost. I havent needed to do much to it other than I replaced the bridge with a fully adjustable string spacing Hipshot Kickass bridge with a choice of brass and stainless steel saddles.
It is a great little bass, released approx 2014-2015 in the P/J pickup configuration, with a nice maple neck, including the Peavey PowerPlate at the rear of the headstock, and rosewood fretboard and I initially had bought it to give it to my wife as a learner bass..Now after the bridge upgrade I changed my mind and i'm keeping it loll
For a cheapie bass it plays and sounds really great. I was going to change the pickups and tuners but they seem to work fine and the bass weight is below 7Lbs and with the long top horn it's balanced nicely. Peavey make a quality product even in their cheaper lines. I wasnt expecting much but am pleasantly surprised at the quality, playability and sound of this little Asian made Peavey. You need to define soon....I am not good at waiting. You are causing me undue anxiety. I counted fourteen basses in the back of your vehicle and I see two on the wall so far. I want to see the rest of your basses hung up with a nicely curated description of each to accompany the dozen or so pictures you owe us. ........please. :p

You're right...maybe I was lucky..fret ends are good..no fret sprout either...its winter here just starting and I keep the lounge room 50% humidity all year round so that probably helps all my basses in the hercules rack and stands inside the room...its comfy for the wife too loll

Easy big fella! LOL Just waiting for the electrical to be all done so I can really get in there, we're close though... I have 10 hangers and 2 stands that hold 5 each. Looking to get more hangers. I have never had all my peavey basses out in one place, I'm guessing I have 20 Peavey's but we'll see! LOL!

It's actually just a tab in a household inventory Google Sheet. Electronics, valuables, paint colors in the house, even the contractor we've used (and the names of the plumber at the company we really liked) so I can find and reference it easily, from anywhere.

I have separate sheets for my book collection and CDs/Records. Those are both larger, more active, and have multiple tabs for various reasons, so they wouldn't integrate as easily.
