lightweight is comparative
Are these generally light weight basses? The body looks fairly small.
Hate to tell you this, but...That looks like a maple body. I have the same bass and it's one of the heavier one's I've ever owned but it's one of the best playing and most stable as far as set-up goes. Don't have the weight but it's at least 12 lbs. I noticed that whoever had yours had a D-tuner installed on the E string. That's one of the things I've done to two of my TL-5s.

Yup, all maple. I was hoping it wasn't going to be too heavy. Is it well balanced? He's going to be replacing the d-tuner with the original tuner - no biggie.
