Actually Skate, the phase switch is a replacement. Otherwise, it's all original. I was toying with the idea of getting a new pickguard since the one on it is warped and all scratched up but, this bass has been through a lot. It is nowhere near excellent condition.
When I was checking out the bass in the pawn shop the neck had a very pronounced bow. I wanted to check out the truss rod and come to find it was at full relief. I can almost guarantee that when I turned the truss rod it was the first time in the 29 years of it's existence that it had been adjusted. It just made me smile.
This poor bass had never really been taken care of. It has battle scars from top to bottom to prove it. Well, it now has a warm, comfortable HSC to sleep in. Once I put her through a proper set up, she's a dream to play.....a PLAYER!!!
