Yes, this is why I specified that it was a Patriot "custom" as people refer to the rarer matching-headstock models, the neck is different on this bass. At the nut, it is only 1.5" wide.

Note: I didn't butcher the string tree, I got it that way and have yet to see a Black coated Peavey string tree to return it to stock condition. Thankfully I DID find a truss rod cover, as that was missing when I got it.

Yes, that's why I thought it might be worth starting a T45 Club just to smoke out how many there are exactly. When I started out on my "T-Series Collecting Oddysey", it took me 6 months to find a T45 that was:

(1) Affordable &
(2) Not beat to hell and back

The only model harder to find (using the same parameters) was my newest acquisition, a T20FL. That one took a year of combing the interwebz.

So I'm still thinking we should start up that T45 club, for no other reason than to get a "head count" on TB. A real bonus would be if we could find some of the rarer finishes.

If just ONE more T45 owner would agree to join (here on the U.S. Peavey Club), then I say let's go for it!

Sounds like a good plan, Mike. The T-45 is an interesting bass - I'm still getting used to it, but I really like it. I'd be interested in reading about others who have owned or still own one.

I can't believe this, but I'm forced to sell two MIA Peavey's that I swore I'd never get rid of
(a 1986 Foundation & an Axcelerator Plus 4). As usual, I check the US Peavey Group on TB before I list them locally. I'm thinking $175 + shipping for the Foundation and $375 + shipping for the Axcelerator Plus. If there's any interest, PM me. I may just put ads in the TB Classifieds, but I wanted to give you guys first crack at them.

The width at the nut is 1 5/8" - sort of between a J and a P (although the owner's manual lists the neck as "ultra-slim").
21 frets. Pau Ferro fingerboard (12" radius). Graphlon nut. 34" scale. Micro-tilt.

It does have the 18V pre-amp.

I've never weighed it, but it's between a Fury and a T-40.

The Ax Plus also has an ash body, different than all of the other Ax models.

Anybody know how to tell if a Grind is a USA made model? I found one in a pawn shop today, it was orange, 3 band active p/j, seems one of the knobs was a push button (not sure what it did), the neck joint was scalloped where the screws connected the neck. There was just Peavey on the headstock, no serial number. Didn't take pics and didn't plug it in.

If it is, would this be something worth getting for less than 2 bills? Had decent action for being in there for a while.

Thanks for any help.
