I'm happy to report that the 82 T-45 is now back together and playable:thumbsup:

It took quite an amount of back bow to compensate but that's it set up and playing.
As it's been a successful day I'm just gonna kick back and relax. If you missed the
photos here the Patriot and T-45 again.

pic1.jpg pic2.jpg Got home and unpacked the new Axcelerator. I'm happy so far, but there's a few things to do.... new strings, setup, straplocks.... stuff like that.... normal for me no matter what bass I would have bought.

Here's a couple phone pictures.

EDIT: Can someone tell me why I uploaded 2 pictures and they each show double?

What's interesting to me is the headstock shapes are very slightly different... the purple one has sharper "corners", while the silver one is more rounded. Both weigh exactly 8.4 lbs by the ol' bathroom scale method, which is a good weight for me. Sort of apologies for the cat tree in the background, but it was close by and didn't show much junk laying around... LOL.

I think I'm going to talk to Peavey about these two Axcelerators.... Another difference or two I notice: The silver one has twice as many pickguard screws as the purple one, and the upper horn strap button positions are slightly different. Obviously these were made in different years. I'm curious as to what else they changed... The neck profiles feel identical though, and that's the important thing to me. Love how these play. Oh, forgot to mention before the purple one has an aftermarket nut - supposedly bone - put on by the previous owner or his/her tech. Looks to be done well.

Nice, KB! There is a Forum AX for sale right down the road from me. Thinking about wandering over that way. These basses have the 12 inch radius on them as opposed to the more common 8 inch that many Peavey 4 strings have. Since I know you have multiple Peaveys, can you report on how the neck feels compared to say a Millennium?

Small Peavey victory yesterday... I landed a gig playin on a tv thing and took my 86 Patriot. I was assuming they would ask me to play my old jazz so I took that as well (eye candy is a deal with them). As expected something was said about "that 70s porn looking thing" I was playing. So since the music director opened that can of worms I cranked the amp and threw down some funk. His exact words "That's really a Peavey? Hmm..." We filmed with my Patriot and all its porn it full frontal. Just thought I'd share my small victory.
