Warrplayer I'll get back to you about the Forum neck. Works got me away from home for another week. In the short time I've had with it I was reminded of the G bass. Always a good thing I reckon
Recently picked up both of these.Love the Millennium Plus,best bass I own out of 15 now.
Hey GF, that's a beauty! I just picked this baby up last month. just like yours, but with birdseye and a matching headstock. I had actually just bought a tiger eye with birdseye last year, and wanted to find a straight maple necked plus next, but this was too good to pass up. if you want to do a swap though......
That is stunning!! I will be keeping my eyes peeled for another one of these as it has impressed me so much,and I already knew the quality Peavey put into their instruments,these just take it to a different level.Thanks warplayer!
I've been itching to play my Fury, so I think I'll bring it to rehearsal tonight with my Axcellerator.
Not that this post really adds value to any of your lives; I was thinking out loud (and kind of excited about it) and I know that you folks are the only ones with a prayer of caring.
Now off to race to grab the kid, grab dinner, and make to the church to set up on time and then wait for everyone else to come in late!

I got back from a 2 week job to discover my Fury had been delivered.
As always please excuse my terrible photo,this fella is a 92 Fury and arrived from the US with replacement tuners and rounded screwheads,
a buckled pickguard, mis-matched knobs and dents and scratches galore.
I'm over the MOONdrool It plays like a dream, no neck bow on this one,sounds fantastic and very lightweight. Yet again Peavey got it right.

I'll get a chance to compare the G bass neck and the Forum neck later today so I'll post my thoughts then.

Your bass left the factory in 1991
It was from parts they had sitting around... I had the pickguard made by pickguard heaven.

Funny story. This week, I decided to put my Fury down for a night and switch to my MIA G&L SB-2. I haven't played it in a few months. Well, while it was just sitting around, I guess the neck moved a bit and now the action is so low that I was getting an annoyingly loud clack every time I played a note fretted around the 5 - 10th fret. So, I put it back down and went back to the Fury. The Fury action stays the same and it stays in tune all the time, seemingly no matter what!

Compared to the Millennium it's
a chunkier neck. I dug out all the Peaveys today and tried most of them. The Cirrus and B-90 were the same width
but slimmer in profile,Millenniums were slimmer all round. Mines are strung with lighter gauge too so were even
easier to play.
The Forum is definitely a P bass.
Still thanks to you asking I got an excuse to haul all 19 Peaveys out and take a group photo

Thanks for that, Kodiak. I heard they had a 12 inch radius which I would probably prefer over the standard 8 inch, but not if it means moving from a jazz to a P width.
So... holy crap, there I was...
I bid on a circa 1993 Peavey Fury on ebay last week. Starting bid was $99. I set my max bid to $103.50. Forgot all about it. Got an email last night informing me that I won. $103.50 SHIPPED.
(I will need to confirm the serial number when it arrives, but it looks legit. I'm not sure people are bothering to make fake $200 Peavey basses anyway. Just mild paranoia on my part.

I saw this Rudy Sarzo on Ebay the other day and I started watching it. I used to own one but sold it because after owning a Cirrus, everything else is moving backwards.
But, I just LOVE the body style !! It is so sexy. Look at how wide the body is ! To me, that says TONE ! I still think the Rudy Sarzo is one of the most beautiful basses and the style is PERFECT.
