I think it is a great deal. And really there unlike the fury i tried to buy but is likely an undead zombie post.
So I officially missed that fury.... It was 125 including a case, strap and what appeared to be a metronome or something. Picture was blurry but I could tell it had different knobs on it .
But then look what pops up... [Invalid or Expired Link Removed] can we say FLIPPER? Is it just me, or is keeping the case etc, taking better pictures, then asking $300 for a fury, a bit on the extreme? I don't bite at the furies over $200, and there are a couple very close to me right now too. I think of furies as $100-150 and the last one I saw at GC was $139. Did the prices go up? Or are people just really hyping the whole USA thing, despite the fact it was still a $249 bass brand new? I see a lot of that around here. This fury does look nice, I let on that he beat me to it, and could make a quick $50 if he still had the case. I'm sure he will feel my $175 offer is a low ball, but he is flipping and gouging, perhaps going by what the other IMO over priced furies were listed for. Plus I don't really want to drive to north Hollywood anyway, it was originally in Santa Monica, closer by a good bit, and I need to head up that way anyway. Flippers! Gougers!

Few year back I missed a Dyna/Unity but last month it turned up on eBay. It was in the same town,20 mile from me
and seller said he's waive the shipping cost. Only bidder until last 30 secs.
Week later it's on a UK bass site,seller's a know flipper and it's up 30%. Thing is there's next to no market for USA

To you and anyone else, here is a pic of the bridge. Technically it works, it just isn't the most precision piece of equipment in the world.

The screws are run in at an angle. The PUs being tilted won't affect the sound just the looks.
My fury saga continues. There are a couple 90s block logos around very close for $250, don't have that much even if I was willing to pay that much for a fury. Obviously the possible flipper guy wanting $300 didn't reply to my $175 offer, no surprise.
Another one pops up, in my price wheelhouse, but "missing a string". There is a hole where the post should be. I sent an email asking if he still had the post for the tuner, and he replies with better pics and " its missing a string", no answer to my question, obviously too advanced of a concept for some.
Are the parts available? It needs the gear and the post, the peg is intact. This is 90s block logo as well. At the very most I would need one new tuner, but would rather just get the post and gear. Why would one end up this way????
I want to know so I can make an offer. I would rather have a script with the nicer tuners and pickup, but I missed my chance and am not paying $300. A 90s maple block logo one like this is exactly the model I used to have, which would be around a 91-92.

You can find bass tuning machines like those for cheap. I'd just replace them all.
If you can talk it down to a reasonable and cheap price as suggested, I wouldn't pass on it just because of the tuners. I have that same generation of Fury I haven't had any issuses with the tuners. They hold fantastic. I rarely have to adjust them during a session and rarely very much between sessions. It's also seen month long stints in the case tucked away and not needed much adjustment. I'm going to change the tuners on it for mostly asthetic reasons, so if you end up needing one, let me know.
I have the same tuners on my foundation, I like them. If I get it it will be well under $100,/$100 is his asking price, thinking it is just "missing a string"

Yeah I never blew the pics up, it is in very rough shape, if I get it I'm shooting for under $100 total investment, I'm about to low ball, but I don't want to be waiting a while to play it either, gotta find out about those parts or where to get a single matching tuner and how much.

What can the experts tell me about the early 90s fury, the one that still has the old style truss rod cover, with the block logo, and the headstock is kinda halfway between the pointy, and the later 90s style. Does this model come with the 5 wire pickup and CTS pots like the script logo pinstripe pointy headstock version?

But was there a quality drop between this version, and the next version with the no cover 4mm truss rod? Pickup/pots info would be awesome if possible. This is killing me, Now the furies are starting to show up, I already missed one, and 3 of them are priced way too high. The one in the pics is on the radar too, but I wouldn't pay more than $100 for it, its pretty beat. Will watch and see if the ebaydiots overpay for it first.

This is the last generation fury with the lower grade hardware and single piece D neck. As far as the electronics, I don't know about CTS pots but I believe it is the 5 wire pup, I don't think that changed. The electronics on mine are solid and quiet. Some say the pup is not as hot but mine is hotter than any Fender I've owned. Grinds like a mofo. The only thing I'd watch out for on these is the neck, can be not as stable as the earlier 2 piece and some have noted the ski bump...but with the microtilt I believe you can get things squared away with a decent setup unless the neck is totally twisted....which I have never seen.
Pickup in my #053 (92) Fury is a 4 wire. Below the TR cover you still need a LP key.

Had another look. Pots are marked SH A250K & SH B250K.
The 4 wires I saw when tilting PG to the side was wrong,I mistaken a loop for 2 wires.
