I recommend light weight tuners. Five of the Titans weigh 1 1/4 lb and make it a taste neck heavy. I used Gotoh GB707s to keep the look of the Titans. Great bass.

Excellent choice, the GB707's look great!

I've not seen them used often, but they're a really nice compromise between the y-tuner look -which I find mediocre at best- and a full sized clover or Elephant ear, looks I like, but don't always look right on a modern instrument.

If I ever feel the need of swapping out the tuners on my Wendler, I think that's what I'd go with .

I'm not sure I've ever seen an Ash Foundation with the original P knobs. Great score.

These are my choice of minis anymore. Great feel with no lash in the gears. I wrapped and taped strips of thin cardboard around the nut to make bushings for the Titan size holes.

I tend to agree but it would have been perfect if the upper horn was 1" longer. Balance with Titans would have been there.

@Eilif ....This is my 1983 ash with a 1987 neck. Like the larger profile and beautiful rolled fretboard edges of this neck over the pencil thin original. The pickups are wired in series with the center control as the variable tap like the T-40. Bridge PU is used for single coil. Sounds great and it's due for some band face time.

I’m finally going to reinstall the original pickup on my single humbucker Forum, but I’m going to wire it passive. I know I’ve talked to a couple of you about your passive Forums in the past, and I was hoping you could help me with some pics and/or a diagram. It’s a two conductor pickup, but all the humbucker diagrams I’m finding are only for four conductors. I assume I could also just use a p bass diagram, but I wanted confirmation before moving forward.

Slight caveat: the last two pickups in it have been four conductor humbucker wired to a on/on/on switch. Is there anything it might still be used for? It’s taking up one of the holes in the pickguard. It’ll stay in there regardless, but why not use it if it’s there, right?
