Lovely bass!! I always wondered how those necks were holding up. I know they are modulus necks, with no truss rod. The modulus I had was one of the newer ones, after they started putting the rods in them. How is the relief?
Reminiscing about the Steinberger I rocked in the 80's, I've been jonesing for something with a graphite neck ever since. A few weeks ago I picked up this B-Quad 4 which has always been one of my bucket-list basses. Working for a Peavey dealer back in the early 90's when the B-Quads were introduced, we were too small of a mom and pop shop to stock something so exotic and expensive. I never had an opportunity to even try one so I didn't even know if I would like it. I needed to give the B-Quad some love in the way of a fret leveling, new tuners + xtender and some preamp work, not to mention a good setup, but the end result is nothing short of spectacular, exceeding all of my expectations. This phone pic doesn't do it much justice.

hmmmmmmm
The body on my G bass is clearly really light...too light.
I own a white B Quad and I ned to get a set up on it. It is a spectacular bass and cuts through the mix in live situations like no other bass. I bought it new, traded it to a friend for a Cirrus, then bought it back again a few years later. Two of the piezos don't work now, so I have to get that checked out, but otherwise I am thrilled to just own one !
Yeah, I probably have $700 worth of P knobs too LOL.I probably have over $700 total.![]()
My G Bass is light but balances perfectly on a strap. I won't change anything on that bass. Mine has a Gotoh bridge.
70s Geddy? Single coil mode, both pickups up full. Slightly dirty amp.ok
anyone got an idea how to get geddy tone out of t40?
