Thanks! Relief was a hair more than I would like, undoubtedly due to my .045-.110 strings, but I dialed that out with the fret leveling taking down a bit more north of the 12th fret. I don't measure relief, I've been doing it by eye and feel all my life. Every time I break out the feeler gauges, I don't like the result. I just checked, capo'ed at the 1st fret, fretting the 17th fret, relief at the 7th fret looks like .011 in.

Working for a Peavey dealer back in the early 90's when the B-Quads were introduced, we were too small of a mom and pop shop to stock something so exotic and expensive. I never had an opportunity to even try one so I didn't even know if I would like it. I needed to give the B-Quad some love in the way of a fret leveling, new tuners + xtender and some preamp work, not to mention a good setup, but the end result is nothing short of spectacular, exceeding all of my expectations. I own a white B Quad and I ned to get a set up on it. It is a spectacular bass and cuts through the mix in live situations like no other bass. I bought it new, traded it to a friend for a Cirrus, then bought it back again a few years later. Two of the piezos don't work now, so I have to get that checked out, but otherwise I am thrilled to just own one !

Sunburst Axcelerators are definitely ash. Seller's pic of a Plus I bought a good while back. Wish I knew who made the pickguard tort. Has a very thick clear top layer that gives it real depth. Really like the color, too.

The piezo wires are extremely thin and vulnerable being partially exposed. Hopefully yours can be repaired as I don't think those bridge saddles are available any longer from either Peavey or Wilkinson. One of mine just needed to be resoldered onto the preamp PCB. The piezos are the feature that had me saying "eh, I'll never use it" but once I tried it, I was hooked. Not soloed, but mixed in with the VFLs for additional articulation, it sounds wonderful. This is also my first long-term experience with VFL pickups and I am liking them a lot.
