Yes, it seems that way. You don't typically see the older/earlier ones out there for sale as much.

I'm a pup with pink gums.

My mother had a powder blue '73, Pontiac Catalina, with a 455 when I was younger and I remember that it had a matching interior. A buddy of mine had a mid 70's Old Delta 88 with the same motor. Basically a living room on wheels.

The only Detroit muscle I've ever owned that could be considered somewhat was a '87 Monte Carlo SS with a suped-up 305. I use the term loosely because the engine had L88 cams, a 650 cfm Edlebrock, Hooker Headers, and a 700r from a late 80's Corvette. Tuned it was probably putting out close to 400hp.

Other notable cars I've owned were an '88 Nissan 300ZX Turbo and a '77 Datsun 280Z. I still have the Datsun but, these days a Ram 1500 is my daily.

Sell me that Datsun!

Sorry, I'm keeping that one. I've been waiting to get my hands on a R32/R33 drivetrain. I've got all the parts to execute this ground effect for the car. Just don't have the time or resources...at the moment.

My original concept for the Monte Carlo SS was to build a pro street car with the look of NASCAR. I was looking to do a 400 sbc with a quick moving supercharger. Time and money...

SO I went to buy the T-20 from GC used this morning and when I saw the count went from 47 to 45 used Peavey's I KNEW that the two sold were the T-20 for $349 and the T-40 for $399. Yup, I was right.

I'm confused, was that Frost Blue T-20 for sale at GC today or recently?
I've seen a Candy Apple Red T-20 listed for a week or two at GC but not that blue one.

The problem with Peavey is they got lumped in almost entirely with the country crowd since the beginning....why do folks think they went after Eddie Van Halen who without a doubt is THE biggest Peavey endorsee ever.

My bud Terry Kilgore played guitar for David Lee Roth in the early 90's and Peavey had producer Nile Rodgers using a 4x10 Peavey classic which they used on on Roths 'Your Filthy Little Mouth' and Terry had several Peavey 5150's given to him by Eddie Van Halen which they toured with for several years...Terry would have used Peavey guitars but he has giant hands and went with a custom shop Washburn strat type (but refused to play a Wolfgang for whatever reason).

Then the quality control issues started (mostly with guitars, not amps) and it didnt take long for Eddie Van Halen to get fuming (as he actually wanted some price increase apparently) over sloppy assembly.....Peavey just could NOT overcome the 70's country thing despite the 5150 amps, Wolfgang guitars and many basses being highly regarded.

Terry once told me the 'Peavey logo' just didnt fly out in LA...image is everything....same with say BC Rich who got lumped in with the metal crowd....

I think I saw him play with Roth on some early 90’s tour. The LG player botched the Jump (or maybe Panama ) solo so badly is was godawful. I mean - embarrassingly bad. Every muso in the crowd at the Holiday Inn Holidome in Stevens Point, Wisconsin looked around and said ‘OMG. Did that just happen?’ I hope that was not your buddy! That entire show was such a huge letdown.

Yep......Terry had his ups and downs that tour....he told me the bus he rode in (there were 2 buses i think) had so much noise he couldnt sleep.....then he got pnuemonia....but he hated playing Van Halen stuff as he grew up with Eddie & Al in Pasadena and of course Roth who was in the Red Ball Jets with Terry before Van Halen...all the same school and grade! Trust me, Terry is a great guitarist but was never cut out for touring like Roth......his solos were legendary though.

This Millennium is a beautiful example of a non plus. It is incorrectly listed as a Millennium Plus but it is not, however, it is a lovely bass for a very low price. My Millennium 4 is a J/J and it is a killer bass. This is a bargain...so somebody buy this rascal and get it on stage!

I've been buying parts like tuners and knobs from this business in PA. They ship quickly, have good prices and are great to work with.

Also I bought one of these truss rod wrenches off Ebay and it works great on Peavey basses that have a 5/16" truss rod nut. No need to remove tuners to get access with this wrench.
