There are some really nice Korean made basses.
Have you seen the prices for used Lakland Skyline basses? ...and I think they are Indonesian now.
Reverend Basses are pretty slick, they are Korean or Indonesian.
I should correct my post in that I believe the Fury V I bought is made in Korea. I got it off GC's website and the photos and info provided did not designate Korea as the country of origin, however, the Fury basses with Humbuckers that I have looked at in the past were all MIK. We'll see.

It is a beauty with a quilted top and an emerald green finish. The bass has several things similar to USA Millennium basses (headstock shape, bar shaped string tree and wheel truss rod adjustment) and Cirrus basses (humbuckers that look to be like the Cirrus PU's and 3 band EQ and controls that look to be spaced like the Millennium and Cirrus).
I have a spare Millennium preamp that may fit this bass and I will consider installing it if the electronics seem to need upgrading.
