I got to the local supermarket at opening this morning. The parking lot was full and a lot of the shelves were bare. Luckily TP wasnt on my list since they were already out.

That one is priced way to high like a plus or 2 tek top model , I occasionally call and chat with a GC online product "specialist" and inform him of gear that is listed wrong or priced wrong , I'm letting him know about that overpriced blue axcelerator - Don't worry I promise not to buy that when I get him to lower that price !!

You may be right , I must social distance myself from ALL online bass & guitar / bass buying sites
Already called, they don't give a shilt, nobody ever changes anything when I tell them....especially prices.
I called yesterday about a MIJ Fender P Bass that has a picture of an acoustic guitar in the listing.
They will take pics for me and send them and then keep the wrong pics posted on their website, has happened many times.
The have a Squier VM Bass in the guitar listings, and I told them and they confirmed it's a Squier VM bass they're trying to sell, and it's still listed in guitars weeks later.
Its GC, why should they care if the information is correct or not?
What came first, the Foundation or the Axcelerator? Also, what are the main differences between the two? Curious minds want to know

The Foundation is an early bass. Put out in 1983,a passive jazz bass type and the start of Peavey's fixation of slim necks on nearly everything. Originally had a big bridge but that changed to Peavey's version of Fender's BBOT ( bent bit of tin). The SF pickups stayed until 95/96,then they changed to another form of ceramic housed in VFL shells.
Axcelerator was a 93/94 release. An active EQ along with active VFL pickups.
I love that big Foundation bridge! I bought a spare a few years ago. It’s in my boxes of parts somewhere, should I ever need it.
Thank you for the info kodiakblair. Seems like I had my Foundation S long before I ever heard of the Axcelerator. Now I know why. I'm guessing it (foundation s) was late 80s maybe? Sold it like an idiot when I made the move to fivers some 25+ years ago. On a high note, just recently acquired a foundation 5 w/sf pups. Was a little surprised how skinny the neck feels compared to my Milly 5+ but it will make a fine back up.
I’ve had 2 of the Foundation S versions an 86 and 87, the necks were virtually the same dimension and feel as my old 73 Jazz Bass (a deep U). My T45 is very different a shallow P style, much like a Fullerton era P bass reissue I once owned. I much prefer the T45 pickup system to that reissue Precision.
Those early 5er basses had rather skinny necks and narrow spacing. See post #16497 here where I got out the calipers and compared my SF equipped 91 Dyna 5 neck to my 82 T45 neck. They are virtually the same, outside of the fretboard radius. The Dyna 5 neck a little thin and cramped for my 5 preferences, but this is also a back up/leave at the practice space bass. It does sound and play really awesome, so I have been playing it quite a bit.
The 80s Foundation neck profile is my favorite 4 string profile, the T45 profile is a close 2nd. Both are really comfortable, Peavey nailed it and consistently reproduced it over the decade.
The T45 electronics certainly beat out a standard split coil P harness here, too.
out of control for sure ! I wonder if they have rehab or non habit forming meds for severe cases of G.A.S. like mine - Seriously at some point I may have to offer some up or have a one day clearance sale or just use the TB classifieds
I am also a Peavey Hoarder. I do not wish to get treatment for it. My heavy rotation has been Cirrus bolt on 4, Foundation S 4, Axcelerator 4, and Cirrus 4 last. Never thought my neck through Cirrus(s) would ever be last on my list, but I am SO loving my Peavey bolt on basses. My Cirrus bolt on has been my #1 lately. I got it brand new. I LOVE everything about it. My Foundation S though is probably overall the BEST overall bass I own. It does 70's Geddy Growl to a tee, action is low as a Cirrus, it's light, looks awesome, it's PERFECT. I'm giddy I'm so happy with my Peavey basses. (Sorry !)
If I ever went back to playing fours the Foundation S would be it. The one with the exposed pole pieces and speed knobs (Dimarzio's?) The perfect PJ for my hands and sounded glorious.
