Looks similar to your walnut one in the middle, but who knows. The seller contacted Peavey, and all they could tell him was the year it was made. Regardless, I dig the subtle contrast of the dots.

According to the serial number (51485XXX) it was made in 2006 (september/october)

I wouldn't mind a Cirrus 5 or another GV.

For those with both, how do the two necks compare? I've never been a fan of gold hardware and would swap in black if I get my hands on one.

The GV neck is thinner front to back than the Cirrus neck through ones. My bolt on was much thinner than the GV though.

My digital calipers died. If I think of it, I'll get a new one and get you some actual numbers. Side project, I'll measure all five of my GV necks to see if they are the same. I'm pretty sure they are

I'm fairly contect with this. Still needs some setup work and I'm planning on building a few more rests/ramps just to play with. Eventually I may swap the hardware out for black.

Never heard of that before. Cirrus necks are usually perfect. I've had MANY go through my hands and not a single one was bad or couldn't be set up perfectly.
My guess is maybe a previous owner had a missing G string for years as it sat under his bed and the lack of tension warped the neck, or it was a mistake that made it through final inspection somehow. I'd return it or at the least take it to a tech who knows repairs well and get their opinion.
