U.S. Peavey Club

I had my eye on this one but missed it at the end...
PEAVEY FURY HANDCRAFTED ELECTRIC BASS GUITAR | eBay
Gen 2 fury...looks to be all there. Rough but unmolested. I think someone got a decent deal.
The Goodwill Online Store has caught on to the masses, unfortunately. They have zero buyer protection and in most cases prices are more than TB, Ebay, GC Used, and Reverb. A Foundation with a split neck down the middle sold the other day for $235 bucks or something like that.

You’ll get better vibration transfer to the body, so you should get a bit more robust fundamental, as well as better high end. I use stainless rounds on mine, but the patriot is just better at punchy cutting tones, not so much big round lows.

Nice! I'm going to have an Amazon gift card to cash in soon, so I'll pick up the Musiclilly saddles in a few weeks. Thanks for the tip.

Man, I love hearing from people I haven't seen here, like you, Hosedawg. That black Sarzo is SA-WEET !!!! WHOA !!! ---- WAIT, it's a SARZO body but a TL-5 ! Never seen one before. It looks MINT, too ! Super Ferrites, Dyna preamp, that bass is a Unicorn, to me !!!!
Oh yea,.....it is "basically" mint...well,...I'd say it would be if it weren't for the little bit of tarnish on the hardware. I haven't played it in years actually both come to think of it. Been thinking about letting both go but,......still thinking...LOL!

Yeah I saw the gen2 on ebay and bid on it when it was under $200 and didn't want it to be given away because its a super cool bass. My 87 gen2 is a treasure and the best sounding pbass I've played in memory and a go-to bass for sure. Can I get a number? I was really nervous after reading the feedback on that goodwill store though and with free shipping wonder how good their packing would be. Hope somebody got a cool bass though. The string ends on that thing were ridiculous though!

Somebody stop me. There's a slant pickup Super Ferrite Fury I've been thinking about for months. It's just down the road from me. Red, good shape. I actually just bought my first ever split p/u Fury and am ecstatic, but that slant p/u is haunting my dreams. The last thing I need is another bass. What's this thing going to give me tone wise that my other dozen basses won't?!

Yikes. I hate GAS.

If im being honest, the slant fury pickup sounds way throatier and complex in the midrange than any other pickup I've heard. If its a deal, I think you're missing out if you don't go for it.

You guys aren't helping! ;)

But the words "way throatier and complex in the midrange" and "get it" already have me looking for any unused pedals I have laying about for trade purposes.

If i had to compare it to anything, maybe the brigde pup in a Ric? Maybe? But not really? They're not the most common thing in the peavey lineup, either. And if you hate it, you wont have any problem moving it lol
