Might have a bad neck. The action is quite high so it may be one that has a truss rod that has been left loose. If it goes cheap it could be worth taking a chance on.
Ouch !! The stickers on the body is one thing. I could get used to it, but on the neck ?? WHY ??? Is it holding it together where there was once a big crack ? lol

Isn't that green paint at the base of the headstock and also around the butt end of the neck? If it was only sticker removal there and the neck wasn't screwed up, I agree with you. But paint on the neck a different story.

I have no idea what's going on with the electronics. It looks like the previous owner took out the battery clip, disconnected the preamp and maybe replaced the pots? The pots are 500k. I'm trying to bypass the preamp and pots and just wire the pickups to the jack.
Can someone please help with this? It's an excellent bass with really low action and I just wanna add some demos to the listing. I'm sure it's a piece of cake for some of you more knowledgeable about electronics.

The battery clip(s) have to be reinstalled to power the VFLs internal buffer. Does it take one 9V or two?
Red wire from the positive side of the battery goes to the red wires going to the pickups. Do you know how to wire the negative battery lead to the hack?
I dont know if you will get sound out without the rest of the preamp connected, I've never tried that.
The black coax from the batteries is signal (center) and ground (outer braid) It looks like the rest is standard VVT wiring, like a jazz bass (assuming everything works without the rest of the preamp)
How much is a good clean T20 bridge worth?
A good clean T20 pickup and trim ring?
A clean set of Titan Tuners?
Think I'm gonna part out my T20.

Those bridges tend to sell for $40-70
The pickup with ring around $100
Titans about $50-70 a set or about $15-20 each. Black titans are commodity money.
Saw that. If it were black (or pink or blue or gold--just not sunburst), I'd be tempted to take a chance on it in hopes of keeping it.
If anything, it's got the case, knobs and Super Ferrites, which are easily worth $200 to me for some future project that has yet to be determined.

I forgot, my T20 pickguard is a B/W/B that is brand new from Pickguard Heaven, so I could sell the pickguard loaded with the pickup, trim ring and the controls as a complete assembly if that is a better way to do it.
I can't sell it as a complete T20 because the body has significant dings on the edges and back and the neck is a '92 Foundation neck and not a T20 neck.

I had a couple of folk contact me about re-instating the preamp in a Forum Ax, wonder if it was this one ?
Anyway you'd have an easier sell going Vol,Vol,Tol or better Vol,Blend,Tone.
It works just fine.
The RSB is 2 x VFLs, 1 x 9v, 1 vol, 1 Blend , 1 Tone. Hooked up just the way you suggested above
I've a Foundation 5 string wired the same. £50 for the bass and £30 for the 2 VFLs, plenty room in the control cavity.
When gear is that cheap ,why not
