The Patriot is the most beat up guitar I’ve ever bought. But I love the growl (almost, not quite Rickenbacker growl) The neck is exactly the right length for me.

Same. My Patriot growls like a Ric. Doesn't hurt to add another SF in the neck position and use some bright rounds, too.I can attest to this. The one I had definitely had a lot of bite and grunt to it.
Very nice! One of my prize basses is my passive Peavey Forum P/J which was made for a very short time.
It is the best P/J bass I have ever played and one of my friends is always trying to talk me out of it. I told him I would put it in my will for him to get it. LOL
This morning a black one was listed on the Musicgoround site so I bought it for my friend. Somebody's gonna be very happy.
I love my green Forum Plus. It wasn't quite the bargain of your two Forum scores--I initially paid $169 shipped for it. I had to have it as I was looking for a Foundation S but this was much less $$, also a PJ, US made and green. It did need a new pickguard as the original white one was very scuffed from being painted and stripped once or twice. The black pickguard cost me about $50, then I swapped the original active pickups for Wildes and sold the original pickups to a TB member. I also redid the harness-super pimp style-when swapping the pickups, too. I'm into it for about $300 now, but it's worth every penny. It's stable, sounds and plays as great as it looks. One of my prize basses is my passive Peavey Forum P/J which was made for a very short time. The red one came from a Facebook Marketplace ad. I paid $100 for it and a Peavey guitar amp. The black one I am getting from Musicgoround was priced at $119 plus shipping. Still a bargain IMO. There is one listed on Reverb for $500.

We used to refer to those as 'crack pipes' at the store. More than a few eyebrows were raised by customers that overheard us.5/16
