Nice!!! I had that weird, hunch-y feeling when I saw it.Whoa! It's the same bass! Same serial number. A friend of mine was buying a guitar from a guy down there and this bass was available for $300. He sent me a picture and I said grab it! Then to my surprise, it was fretless! I may have passed on it if I had known, but its a nice bass.
Small world for sure man!

I really liked that bass, but I can only have one fretless, and it should be a 5er, so I sold it. I ended up with a Lakland 5501 fretless 5 that was pretty cool, but I never bonded with it. I sold it and converted my 99 Carvin BB75 to fretless. Much better, as I really love that Carvin.
I've been looking at these on eBay has anyone here bought them? I wonder how hard it would be to spray them to, look like the original knobs?

Welcome to the club @LennyJI just found this club and I want in.
I have a Peavy foundation 2000 fretless and just got a G bass. I was told the foundation year is 1999 (even tho the decal is called a Foundation 2000), the serial number on the back of the head stock starts with 11 and ends with 99. Any help on serial numbers will help.
Also I can not find any numbers on the G bass at all to indicate the year? The manual has a copy right date of 1997.
Any help would be nice and thanks for the page.

HA! Well, most people who move to CO for non-seasonal work do move to the Front Range or up to an hour west of Denver, so it's highly possible he's within an hour's drive from me. Funny world! Here's a bit more to the story, the guy I got the bass from was selling a bunch of gear because he was moving to Colorado! He could be your neighbor! Lol

Hi Shawn ! Yes, I bought a few sets just to have a round for when I need them. If you use primer, you'll be just fine and can paint them to look any way you want.I've been looking at these on eBay has anyone here bought them? I wonder how hard it would be to spray them to, look like the original knobs?

Welcome to our neck of the woods, LennyJ ! Peavey passion runs deep here. Best basses ever, to me. Those are some SWEET basses you got there !!!
The G bass serial numbers were often on a sticker on the back of the headstock. Some of these migrated to the inside of the control cavity cover, or the battery compartment cover
