Uber 410 = Uber Bad *ss

Uber really bad... it's loud with tone.
Haha! Dennis called me tonight from the gig, again, and he was giddy as usual. It was kind of funny, he went outside for a smoke break, while he was still playing with his blues trio, and called me on his cell phone. I told him he needed to get some video of this, but he said he was out of hands! :D

What a riot.

By the way, Dennis. How did that Thunderbird wind up sounding through the rig?

It sounded great. What a nice instrument. He let me play it for a few tunes when he was done. What a tiny neck after the Smith's 5 neck. It soiunded amazing, clear/deep and hit hard.

Awesome! I certainly love my T-bird, and I feel that they often get a bad rap as being 'muddy', but mine has always been clear, but with fullness and power in the low mids. Of course, I recently played a couple of other T-birds (one new, one older, both Gibsons), and they were not anywhere near as clear as mine, so maybe they do vary a bit.

Tom.

WOW, well I have been asking myself that all morning. I told Jeff G yesterday that my plan was not to like the 410 and send it back...then I told him that just ain't happenin'. There is a real problem with the Genz gear I have in my presence. It's all GREAT gear. It's like having 2 sets of twins and a single child...there is no favorite. The guys at Genz have really nailed this bass amp thing. The 112's are beefy and can be used alone...the 212's when set up right (refering to my original user error) kick butt. The Uber410 for anybody needing a big tight fat bottom is just a freking dream. I will use the the 410 again tonight and keep pushing it. The Uber video (since it's not really visible) is my Ken Smith...that wasn't even a Pbass..it the Smith y'all. Does that rock or what? All cabinets have been pushed with the GBE 1200 so the head is NOT a variable. All of these cabinets have a use in anyones arsenal. I prefer 12's... or at least I did. I am learing material as we speak for a few gigs with "Ron Holloway" and I am playing through the 112's. They sound awsome...it all sounds awsome. So I guess I will have to get back to you on a favored cabinet.:crying:

Sounds good to me,

watt do you like better? 10s or 12s,Com'on now be honest,:);)

also bear in mind, the bass was a Smith. I would expect that kind of sound from my '65 Pbass. But the Smith showed it can rock :hyper:too

well gosh......if that uber 410 sounds like what i think it sounds like from your youtube vids compared to your 212, then forget that 212, the 410 sounds great. the 112 sounded pretty nice too.

too bad as i want to like the 212 more....

Dennis, you made me buy some Eden cabs by talking about them so much, and they were darn nice decisions too! I thought I was gonna get the chance to pay you back when you started talking about checking out the Genz stuff. Turns out that you'll just wind up convincing me to buy more Genz cabs myself. I don't know how much longer I can stand this.
