Dude, you're 15! Live and listen and learn to play. You might just learn to appreciate the finer points of a good P-bass or Jazz.

Just think in ten years time some young punk might see you on stage and care more about what you're playing than what you're laying down!

this just means that the working bass players out there will become even more in demand.... this is the future guys! players like this will be on the same auditions as us "noobs"! can't help but feel secure in my profession!

really now..... the real question here is how many pete wentz sweat shirts do YOU own, mr op?? cuz any less than 5 may mean losing that gig with your dream group!


OTOH.... in jest or not, these opinions really do exist! not only from the seasoned tweens on their way to becoming professional, open mic, first calls..... but there are actual grown ups that share this close mindind view.....avoidable, if you pump your own gas!

I know fenders usually play okay, and have decent tone, and are a standard in the bass world. But I think the people just got the fender because it was a fender?

I dont know, but I guess the point is, what are some good basses that famous people will look like noobs using??

I never said fenders were bad, and I never said people who used them were either.

And believe me, Im not judging the bands or their bassists on what bass is being used.

I dont know why, but everytime I see someone playing a fender I kinda think "Oh, they didnt really look around, they just got a fender cause its a standard."

I never said that was true.
