Underrated brilliant pop bassist

I don't think Sting is underrated as a bass player at all. He gets plenty of respect from bassists.

Yes, but I don't think he gets enough respect as a fretless player.

Certainly one of my favourite bassists anyway. 57th & 9th was top notch stuff, which is often not the case with an album from a guy his age.

I'll be curious to hear the rest of his album with Shaggy - 44/876. I wonder how much bass he played on it. Disappointing he's been playing a Gibson SG in the music video & TV appearances. In an Instragram post he mentioned Robbie Shakespeare played bass on one track.
