George Young, who is the older brother of AC/DC's Malcolm and Angus Young, was a member of the band The Easybeats, who had a string of Australian hit songs as well as the international hit, "Friday On My Mind". He had a group with Malcolm and Angus called Marcus Hook Roll Band prior to AC/DC. George Young also was a member of the group Flash & The Pan and had several hits inlcluding "Hey, St. Peter". In addition, he co-wrote "Love Is In The Air", a hit for John Paul Young (no relation) and many other songs. George Young has also co-produced numerous albums for AC/DC, Rose Tattoo, The Angels, John Paul Young, and many other acts. He played as AC/DC's bass guitarist for a short stint, early in their career.
