Yep, and their singer Gary Loizzo was the FOH sound tech for Styx for decades up until he died about a year ago, plus he engineered most of their albums.

I just learned this today: Guitarist David Torn (aka splattercell) is the cousin of actress Sissy Spacek.
George Young, who is the older brother of AC/DC's Malcolm and Angus Young, was a member of the band The Easybeats, who had a string of Australian hit songs as well as the international hit, "Friday On My Mind". He had a group with Malcolm and Angus called Marcus Hook Roll Band prior to AC/DC. George Young also was a member of the group Flash & The Pan and had several hits including "Hey, St. Peter". In addition, he co-wrote "Love Is In The Air", a hit for John Paul Young (no relation) and many other songs. George Young has also co-produced numerous albums for AC/DC, Rose Tattoo, The Angels, John Paul Young, and many other acts. He played as AC/DC's bass guitarist for a short stint, early in their career.

I was unaware of the connection. Thanks for the post. Friday On My Mind was reportedly one of Bowie's favorite songs. His version of it on Pinups is the highpoint of that album, IMO. I haven't played it in decades. It was on our setlist in a band I was in during the mid seventies. So now I have my song of the week to work on...
A bit of trivia about the song, "My Ding-A-Ling". Chuck Berry did not write the song and it was a cover of a song originally done by Dave Bartholomew in 1952. Bartholomew rerecorded the song under the title "It Was Little Girl Sing Ting-a-Ling". The Bees covered the song with the title "Toy Bell" in 1954. Chuck Berry recorded a version called "My Tambourine" in 1968; but, the version which topped the charts was recorded live during the Lanchester Arts Festival at the Locarno ballroom in Coventry, England February 3, 1972, where Berry – backed by the Roy Young Band – topped a bill that also included Slade, George Carlin, and Billy Preston. The song is based on the melody of the 19th century folk song "Little Brown Jug".

The Go-Go's drummer, Gina Schock, sat in with Norwegian band A-Ha for U.S. TV show appearances in the mid 1980s. They were playing to tracks on these shows.

And, "Morning Has Broken" is actually an old church hymn first published in 1931. It has words by English author Eleanor Farjeon to the traditional Scottish Gaelic tune "Bunessan" and the 19th century Christmas carol "Child In A Manger".
