That list shows how well Aussie rock and pop music was served by “Ten Pound Poms”.
Add John Farnham (solo & LRB), Jimmy Barnes (solo & Cold Chisel), George Young (The Easybeats, Flash & the Pan), Malcolm & Angus Young, Bon Scott (AC/DC), John Paul Young and Glenn Shorrock (LRB), Stevie Wright (solo & The Easybeats) and more I’m sure.
While they mightn’t have a US No 1, they have been very successful.
Not Swedish, but Danish, Jorgen Ingmann had a 1961 US #2(Billboard)with his cover of The Shadows’ “Apache”...

A few more Aussie bands that had success in the U.S. are Midnight Oil, Goanna, The Sherbs, Mondo Rock, and Divinyls. The Tarney/Spencer Band was formed in the U.K. by two Aussies.
I have albums and/or have played songs by all of these acts except Divinyls.

The Sherbs were Sherbet here and had a hit in the UK with Howzat. When they tried to get a deal in the US they couldn’t keep that name and became Highway briefly, the The Sherbs which was a nickname they were known by locally.
Simon Raymonde's father Ivor was a producer and arranger for Joe Meek, producing music by Billy Fury and the Tornados. The Tornados formed from the ashes of one of the versions of Johnny Kidd and the Pirates, a later incarnation of which included Nick Simper of Deep Purple.

Manfred Mann's Earth Band released their fifth studio album under that band name titled The Good Earth in 1974.
Early owners of each copy of The Good Earth were entitled to rights over 1 square foot of the earth situated at Llanerchyrfa in the County of Brecon, in Wales. The inner sleeve included a coupon that had to be sent for registration. This was part of the promotion activities linked to the album that had ecological inspirations. There was no swindle and thousands of fans were registered. Registration could be done on or before December 31, 1975.

Wouldn’t that be Ron Wood? Roy Wood was from The Move, the band that eventually morphed into ELO.

In related trivia, the band mentioned was the Artwoods; Art was vocalist, Hartley(before he went on to John Mayall)was the drummer, and the keyboardist was a pre-Deep Purple Jon Lord. After their demise, a short-lived outfit, Santa Barbara Machine Head, came together in 1967, featuring Lord, Ron Wood on guitar, Wood’s mate from The Birds and The Creation, Kim Gardner, on bass, and Pretty Things drummer John “Twink” Alder...

I think I like Santa Barbara Machine Head, and was previously unaware to that group of people together, so thanks for that.
I enjoyed the days when Bass, Guitar and Keyboards inhabited their own sonic territory.

I like that raw sound.
My ears have grown quite weary of recorded music that sounds like it's been produced to within an inch of its life.
Time to ditch the Pro Tools, and go back to 8-track 1/2”, then. I still have a Teac 38 and TRS-8. Eight tracks keeps you honest, and actually more creative. That stuff was probably done on four.
Actually, IMO it's more about recording without so many frills, and not trying to make it so pristine or in-your-face loud, whether it's digital or analog. But it all depends on what you like, or what you think will sell.
