Great deal, never heard of this seller however

I just bought a B stock Line 6 G30 wireless from them. Shipped free, got here quick in factory box. And I used Bill Me Later, so works for me. I bought my new STM-900 for $699.00 way back in spring 2011 from another online store.

No issues with either of those. I'd buy from either of them again. Good luck.

+1 on this. I've bought a Peavey Cirrus BXP and a Rocktron Big Crush Compressor from GearTree. I got fantastic prices on both, and they were great to work with. A+ e-tailer in my book and that is a great price on an STM-900. You can hardly touch one used for that.

Jay Turser, nice-looking Jazz - $113.72

Gear Tree is run by a local guy here who owns about 5 stores in the state and one in Colorado. I interviewed to be his controller 3 years ago but found another job before the interview process was finished. I was going to do a project with a sales manager who worked for him and the manager says after 2 years some sales people still don't have some commissions but I'm only hearing one side of the story.

Always been curious about these. I assume they are Chinese. Anyone know what the body is made of? Alder/poplar/ash/ply? Anyone owned/played one that could comment on quality? I'm going to assume they are a step down from the SX offering.

Can't answer any of those q's, but the brand is owned / distributed by U.S. Music Corp, which also owns Washburn, Warwick, Parker, Hagstrom, Marshall, Eden, Phonic and a bunch of other brands. J Turser appears to be their entry level brand.

Only recently have my area's music stores begun carrying anything other than low-end beginner stuff. They still carry a ton of it, but at least there's SOME choice now. That being said, Jay Turser stuff has always been the cheapest stuff in any store (that and Stagg) I've been in around here. If they show you Squier and Samick, but those are still more than someone wants to spend, they show Jay Turser or Stagg. They look and feel like solid instruments, so I don't know that I'd call them a step down from SX, but more on par with. Pawn shops here also carry this stuff new, along with "Kona" acoustic guitars being the big pawn shop brand.

Damn, the price on the turser dropped to 96 and it said there was one left, I was about to pull the trigger and the it wouldn't add to my cart and is now unavailable....

Some guys on HC's electric guitar forum snatched up the last ones, the last moments before you tried. Someone also posted these reviews just before that.

I guess it’s too late for my opinion (through the experience of a couple people I know) that Jay Turser is most-definitely a step up from SX... Squier Affinity at very least.

So sorry you missed the deal.

Sweet! Just my guage, too. In for 3! FYI, if you try the GoHastings.com website, shipping is only $3.19 for a set, which would make them $8.79. But it only lets you put 1 in the cart at a time from what I can tell. May be the browser security policies here at work, though, causing that issue.

just realized these are "long scale" not sure I can string thru body on my Lakland 55-02D or JoBo 5. May try them on my '08 Am St P5. Guess I can run em thru bridge on one of the Lakeys. We'll see, est delivery date June 29th.

Got em for about $8.21 with a couple left over Amazon rewards bucks I forgot I had. I have Chrome/Sadowsky flats and DR BB's on my basses now. Really like those Chromes on my P5. So may try these XL170's on the 55-02D I guess. Those BB's have been on there for awhile.

Strings came. They only sent 2 of the 3 sets I ordered (in separate packages). Both sets had mangled packages. One inner package was still "sealed", yet had a bunch of holes torn in it. Other set's inner package was torn open and the B string is missing. Shady practices, GoHastings...
