I had to laugh at this , great recap. Please post deals in red! That's the only rule I think has a chance of being followed
That Lakeland Aj 5 string is near 950 now!
You're wrong. What a bunch of alarmist nonsense. I'm sure Amazon sells no more or less "problem" instruments than ANY large retailer.
You're wrong.
How can I argue with logic like that?!?!
Ok, you've convinced me!![]()

What a bunch of alarmist nonsense. I'm sure Amazon sells no more or less "problem" instruments than ANY large retailer. Personally, I've had nothing but good luck. Same for a number of my students and friends who buy from them.
Plus, when you consider their very liberal and fair return policy, it's simply not in their best business interest to send out crap products, then end up losing $$$ on returns.
Some people just want to see a conspiracy behind everything.
It has absolutely, categorically, positively been true at least up until the fairly recent past to my personal knowledge. Not always so, but definitely sometimes. One bass manufacturer's rep has told persons here never to buy their basses off Amazon as only their rejects are sold there.
Rejects are also sold by the other major online sellers under misrepresented "used" or "scratch & dent" stock when in fact they are new QC fails.
100% sure of this. Take it to the bank.
