Wandré 'smoked' his finishes - burning was not involved so I guess they still have a lot of oxygen left in them... 
If I could just figure out a way to replace the oxygen in my base with helium...
This is the instrument version of oxygen free cables...
I'll say this: that bass has some nice low action. If he's managed to get it that low with no buzz he at least knows how to do one thing right.
