USA Geddy Lee fender Jazz

I'm wondering if these bridge issues were from when they first made the switch from the badass bridges ?

They had the same issues with new bridges on the current Ultra line of basses when they were first introduced . Seems they have since sorted it out.
The most recent American Geddys don't seem to have these issues.

UPDATE !!! just got my Leo Quan badass II bridge with pre grooved saddles and installed it...OMG..wow man.... no more width problem between "A" and "D" string problems anymore. the pre grooved saddles took care of that not to mention now my bass really stands out even better in tone. wow man..this bass can growl like a S.O.B. fully stoked here !!! can't put this thing down..it's gonna be a fun night tonight :) I saw what was wrong with the bridge on the old Geddy Lee bridge I had, I had noticed who ever filed the saddle grooves for the "D" and "G" had filed it off center compared to the "E" and "A" saddles. either way I'm am really happy Leo Quan had a pre grooved badass II one. I also saw another pre grooved one on ebay if somebody has same problem and wants to switch it out. i swear you'll love that you did :) Just DO IT !!!!

Mine is from 2017 and has the exact same issue. I just put a bid on the one on eBay. Thanks for the heads up!

make sure it is the " pre grooved one" if not then get a new one and just buy the pre grooved saddles they have on ebay. trust me...the pre grooved ones solve that problem :) they have a brand new leo quan for around $76 and on another listing they have Nickel pre Grooved OMEGA Bass Bridge Saddles that fits the Leo Quan Badass II for $33 on ebay right now, just fyi

Yeah this one has the grooves. So glad I found this thread. Something just felt "off" sometimes going from the A to D string but I just never thought to measure the bridge.
same here I'm glad I'm not the only one..when I called fender and asked them if anyone reported this issue he cleared his throat and kind of paused and denied it but I could tell he wasn't being quite truthful. either way, you'll love the change out and the tone, it's like getting a geddy lee bass all over for the first time :) btw with the pre grooved saddles my strings are near perfect and she plays like a dream come true :) it's like getting a brand new bass I can't put down

i think you can also buy the omega saddle kit, which might not be pregrooved, from best bass gear. the omega stuff is supposed to fit right into the badass II. but you have to use the whole kit because the threads on the height screws and intonation screws are different than the badass. anyway, an option.

yes I saw that, they come pre grooved or need to be filed and also some that are pre filed for strings but the Leo Quan fit right in with my geddy lee usa jazz bass. everything fit absolutely perfect, the holes, screws but I used the old screws because they still had some wax on the screw threads when them put them in originally

I wanted to be clearer as I read past posts,,,when I mean pre grooved I meant the one that has 4 groves in each saddle that way you can get your strings perfect and it doesn't mess with the moving them too badly so it won't look too offset where the string lays on top of saddle from where you thread it. but I think did see the one on Ebay you might be bidding on ( a single string slot) and the groove slot on saddles for strings all looks pretty decent and in the middle. I also saw a Omega bass bridge pre grooved with the four string slot on REVERB and heard that they are exactly like a Leo Quan badass II and will fit the usa geddy lee jazz for $85 free shipping go check it out on reverb good luck

Yeah I saw both of those. Bought one of the brand new grooved ones (with 4 grooves on each saddle).

you can buy the Omegas with or without pre grooves. a few on reverb that has the 4 grooves in each saddle and they do fit a fender jazz :)

did you get the leo or the Omega? I heard they are exactly the same
Got the Leo
