Utility Gig Bag - What're You Using?

Looking for ideas on which utility gig bag to get, or one that can be re-purposed that's otherwise meant for another use. (Not looking for a bass bag that has many/ large extra pockets.)

By a utility gig bag, I mean one that would be used to carry, cables, tuner, extra strings and string changing tools, a micro pedal board (mine just has space for 2 pedals), an iPad to display charts, etc.

Thanks. Haven't thought of a messenger bag, although the one you recommend might be too narrow for my needs.

This. I also have an MB500 and have been using an old messenger-style laptop bag that I no longer used for laptops. It's a great way to carry things like a micro head, cables, tuner, spare strings, cheat/lyrics sheets, water bottles, extension cords, power strip, etc., and it's really well padded so my head is well protected.

However, I recently bought a backpack style laptop bag and have found that's even more convenient because there's one less thing I have to carry in my hands.

I just use a large "duffle" type bag. Has enough room for two stands (broken down), extra power strips, heavy duty extension cords & it has two large pockets at each end. Use one for small first aid kit, small toolkit & paper/pens. The other end is for extra cables, DI box, spare tube & extra straps

I had Studio Slips make me a bag.
Has external padded pockets to hold my Puma and iPad as well as a tote tray with connectors, tools and a soldering iron. Inside I've got cables, a Hercules stand, an iPad stand, gaff tape, a pelican case with IEM's a towel and various other "stuff". It's easy to carry and packs well.

I use a laptop bag. It is large with multiple compartments.
All cables , charts, tools,mic and Class D head fit inside.

Laptop backpack. They often have a padded compartment where you can put your class D head (mine is perfect for a GK MB-500, and has room for cables and two real books, with room to spare.

This guy will make you any size case you want. You could have a briefcase type case made for low cost. Not much more than 50-60 bucks.

I've used one for some cable and adapters, set up tools, meter, strings, outlet analyser... Compact, well padded, exterior pouch, strong handle and a convenient strap if your hands are full. Also have two that fit two small amps like a glove. Great value and price.

I use a Mono Producer bag. Got a super good deal on one about a year and a half ago. Room for cables, straps, batteries, amp, Hercules stand, tool kit etc.......

Nice. Was it designed as a utility bag or for a more specific chore, i.e. practice amp, amp head?
