I've just had a few minutes with it, no time today, but there seems to be a *lot* of different sounds in there depending on how you combine all the knobs. First impression is it does lean towards the angry kind, I think I'll try it in the Wonderlove loop for different synth noises.

I spent my first 10 minutes with it turning down the bottom and bass, I can't say that I have had to do that with a lot of pedals before.

It has a lot more range than the You're Doom. But, it is a brassmaster. The You're doom also gets very synthy but not in a gated way as the Woodchipper. The YD seems to have a more open sound. They are very different IMHO.

So ... now that the honeymoon phase perhaps is over, how do you guys like this pedal?

I'm not really getting it actually, maybe it's just a bit too much fuzz for me. I can't seem to dial in anything other than either way too much gain, or a milder fuzz but then only as fizzle on top of the bass sound, a kind of blend which I don't like at all. I do think I can make it work for synth sounds with an octaver and filter, but not really as a bass fuzz.

That is exactly what it sounds like to me. But, that is what I was looking for. I would not have it as my only fuzz, more like a second, more extreme fuzz. The first thing I did was blend it out and just keep the extreme fuzz.

I think my ideal fuzz situation would be the woodchipper and one creamy traditional muff.

May have to sacrifice my You're doom.

It's based on a b:assmaster. That's what they sound like. Ripping upper octave fuzz tone.

I agree with shu. Between my diabolik(or wood chipper for some) and my muff, I get pretty much all the fuzz I want. Still want a 360 though. There is just something I love about that fuzz. Super mid heavy grindy fuzz. So nasty. In a good way!

Can you run this pedal at 18v??! I had no idea. I have a v1 so I am going to contact Peter to make sure I can first. I love this pedal. It brings something to the table my other fuzzes dont. I like running the bass volume really low and the low end blend, the little middle knob, up higher around 11 or noon. It sounds so good that way. I still wish my switches were knobs but oh well, I can live with it. Its a great fuzz. Its my B:assmaster.
