I'd give a call to Action Music in Falls Church. They might not be able to do it, but they have so many old tube amps in stock, I'd be stunned if they didn't have somebody/know somebody who could do the work. I think I remember the owner saying something about having a guy come in once or twice a work to do tube amp repairs.

Hey VA bassists...hello from Winchester!

Anybody know of a reputable shop or tech that you would trust to service and possibly retube an old SVT? I'm located in Winchester, VA but travel to DC frequently so anything within an hour drive would be great.

Not familiar with that bass player. There are always blues jams going on. Goodfellas in Hampton closed so the cats moved to another spot. I think it's The Checkered Flag in Hampton.
