VT Deluxe Talkbass group purchase?

for me, the greatest part of this is that i have one paid for on it's way when they're finally available. i gots my gear money tied up in other things right now, so it's super happy cool fun time to not worry about setting aside the scribble for something i KNOW i want.

scribbbbbbbbleeeeee.

wu tang forever.

Amen. If I hadn't done it back when we done it, it wouldn't be done :D

I just got off the phone with a very nice person at Tech 21. They shipped an order of VT Bass Deluxe to The Perfect Bass today!

Working the timing on this a bit...if shipped 7/15 from (I assume) NY (the date of hoyabill's post above), TPB should get delivery today or tomorrow at the latest. Wonder if we'll see another TPB update email soon re: shipping out to us?

wow you guys are a bunch of very patient fellas. i'd love to get one in the future but its way pricey i am wondering why they didnt come out with a regular 200$ programmable version along with the deluxe
Huge +1. I don't think there are 6 useable sounds in the VT that most players would want with a single bass. A smaller, 3 channel programmable VT would be perfect.

While I'm probably not going to be buying a VT Deluxe anytime soon, I do think it could be useful to have six presets, like when I'm playing two or three different basses using a mix of clean and dirty tones. Setting things up for specific individual gains/EQ could be quite useful. Someone with only one bass might have less of a need....

I'll definitely use a few of the presets without question.

1) clean tone
2) bit of bite
3) fully overdriven

then ones that incorporate the FX loop.

One thing I'm really excited about is the FX loop (yeah I know the BDDI Deluxe has it too, but this is the VT!!) so I can remove up to 3 BOSS pedals out of my signal path and onto the loop where the effects will change the tone so much it won't matter anyway.

So in the end I'll have bass -> VT -> amp, then the loop with everything else, including tuner.
