VT Deluxe Talkbass group purchase?

I like watching this thread! I reminds me of a tradition in MN. Every year at the county fair they drain the oil out of a car and people guess how long it will run before it dies. Whoever is closest wins. Once they start the car, the crowd is silent waiting for a big explosion to happen. All that happens evey year is it rattles and makes some noise and just stops running. I am waiting to see all of the excited responses once y'all get your VTDLXE!

huh? i don't get the connection? how is a car with no oil at all like a-OH DEAR GOD NO!!! MY VT DELUXE CAUGHT ON FIRE!!! WATER! WATERRRRRRR!!!!!!!

curse you JohnnyAngle. curse you with the Devil's Own Impotence.

...... i don't have a VT Deluxe yet TO catch on fire.

me = patience. realz.

I think he's saying that the pedal better live up to all the hype it's getting. This thing has been pegged as the absolute greatest pedal ever and no one's even heard it yet, right? It will arrive at everyone's door step with huge expectations. I'm interested to see the first FS/FT thread, saying "As much as I hate to do this, I'm letting go of my beloved VT Bass Deluxe. Great pedal. Just not my thing."

I think most of us who were so quick to order this have already heard or owned the original VT pedal, and it should sound exactly the same, but with more options for storing and recalling settings, multiple instruments, XLR out, and fx loop. Pretty sure it will not disappoint those of us who know what we were ordering before we did so.

Why be "interested"? You know (and we know) that it's going to happen.

No one is claiming "this is the be-all, end-all, no more gas, no more gear" thing.

Gear swapping and "moving on, next!" is a fact of life.

This is simply a thread where a bunch of us got together to get an early, good deal on a pedal that we were interested in getting.
We will be some of the first folks to get the pedal, and we got it for a good deal.
I'm not expecting a lot of surprises - this should match the tone of the VT pedal, and offer more versatility. Bingo. End of story.

But we did get a good deal, and we're getting it early :hyper:

yeaaaahhhhhh.... i got what he meant. hence the stupid a$$ answrr. :)

+1 to RFjorD. i have a VT. i really like the VT. i have a SansAmp PBDI. i expect the VT D (i wanna go on record as the first to use VT D. gimme my street cred yo) to replace two pedals and give basically the same functionality (plus some extras that i dunno if i need) in one box.

with more presets.

ya big ole party pooper.

Reminds me of all the "car for clunkers" videos on YouTube, a little while back. (The dealers were required to destroy the engines.) :spit:

Exactly! I have the BDDI Deluxe as a pre-amp into a crown pwr amp. I had the VT and loved the tones I got out of it, but no "one" setting fit all the songs we do and adjusting between songs was out of the question.

This pedal will solve most of my issues. A more "Organic" tone than the BDDI DX but with the programability.

wow, what a couple of bringdowns. yeah, and don't date any girls, guys. they probably won't like you and you'll just end up alone at the end of the night $50 lighter. and get off your computer...it might lock up and you'll have to reboot it. hell, we might as well lock our doors and never leave our bedrooms for fear some bad peoples might get us.

i'm glad you're rooting for us to fail miserably with our new purchases. makes me feel really good about you.

"Gloom, despair and agony on me-e!
Deep dark depression, excessive misery-y!
If it weren't for bad luck I'd have no luck at all!
Gloom, despair and agony on me-e-e!"

Oh why did I partake in this foolish folly....<tears hair out....(what little is left)...throws ashes on head.....wears sack cloth>

Sackcloth and ashes can sound GREAT, but it's highly dependent on where you put them in your signal chain...

Gonna go SMITE somebody now. :D
