VT Deluxe Talkbass group purchase?

Too many decisions... How much is the VT deluxe going to be? I found the bass driver programmable for $160.

How are the sounds differences? I'm not planning on doing any gigs or recordings. I'm just looking for something to add some character to my basses.

I hope someone can help shed some light so I can either go with the pre-order or go for the bass driver programmable.

This thing is supposed to model Ampeg amps. If you want to know how it sounds, find a SansAmp VT Bass. This pedal is that, but programmable. If you're not sure, maybe you should wait until it's actually released so you can play with one.
