VT Deluxe Talkbass group purchase?

So, will you guys put this pedal last in your chain since it has the xlr out?

I'd like to do that...

Right now I have my chorus last in the chain (after my VT). However, if I put my chorus in the FX loop of the Deluxe, I suppose I could use the chorus when I need it (through the Deluxe), then have the Deluxe as the last pedal.

Key questions are...
[1] Does the XLR out from the Deluxe include any FX fom the FX loop?
[2] Does the Deluxe have to be on/engaged to pass though FX from the FX loop or can FX be engaged and "passed through" the Deluxe when its off?

I assume yes to both, but I'm wrong a lot.

Thoughts?

thx!

I didn't read the entire thread (reading / posting from a PDA). I would like to be part of the group buy and will absolutely commit to the purchase so long as the group buy price offers a break from retailers street price (I assume the group buy would not take place unless there's a price break). Sign me up! :)

You`re about a month too late :(

Yep - my little PDA and I just went back to read the rest of the thread where, sadly, I discovered this. Oh well - they'll be available soon enough. I'm just jazzed that Tech21 responded to the market so quickly. For those of us who dig Ampeg tones the VT Bass was almost perfect. The VT Deluxe is the rest of the package. My Markbass Jeff Berlin combo is a great amp for my use (blues / classic rock / R&B / soul) as it sounds like a loud, clean B15N on its own. The VT Bass made it possible to dial in a verge-of-breakup sound that was otherwise the same overall tone of the amp. Of course there are a variety of clean to overdriven Ampeg tones on tap in the VT Bass as well. This (and a balanced DI of course) is what makes the idea of a programmable VT Bass so appealing (having a clean B15N, a B15N or SVT on the verge, and a overdriven SVT on tap at all time - what's not to like? I remember calling Tech21 directly within a week of receiving my VT Bass and inquiring about a VT version of the Programmable Bass DI (many others had called with a similar inquiry by that time) and being told that something may be in the works. I've been jazzed about the possibility since and elated to hear that they followed through when JimmyM (I believe that's right) posted early news from NAMM. As soon as the product is released I'll be looking for one in stock for the low end of the retail street price range. My updated rig will be: One of two EB/MM Bongo 4HH basses (roundwounds or flats) -> Sonic Research Turbo Tuner pedal -> Tech21 VT Deluxe -> Markbass Jeff Berlin 1x15 combo ( -> Boss VF-1 effects processor in the Markbass' now series jumpered effects loop).

In case it doesn't show I'm a little jazzed about the VT Deluxe!

This all still sounds great, and I too wish to give a huge thanks to TPB and all who are making this happen.

That all being said I have opted to not order one. I have a few things that need addressing now and 200+ for a pedal that might never leave my office or ever be used direct into a board does not make good sense for me.

I am however waiting the groundswell of used original VT pedals..so to add to the growing list, anyone with a regular old, boring, under 120 dollar VT pedal feel free to pm me....
:D

I'm hoping those of us who pre-ordered will see delivery before the 7/8/10 that Guitar Center has on their site right now: :(

Anybody checked in with TPB lately to see what they know about their delivery timing?

GAH!!

da** it jimmy. if you make me g.a.s. for something WHILE I'M WAITING ON SOMETHING I ALREADY PAID FOR.... well.... i dunno what i'll do. but it'll either be horrible or just a comically inept attempt at horrible.

watch out now.

i have a Soundblox Pro Multiwave Distortion on the way to tide me over.
