Wal Bass Club.

So, this could be the original neck of Geddy's red MkII.

As stated above.....highly doubtful. The most important document in a situation like this has been signed off by someone stating that this came off his black bass. This person should have more info than anyone. To make that much of a mistake raises BIG red fake flags!

I emailed the seller, informing that it was impossible that this came off the black bass....explained to him in detail HOW it was impossible. Also said he might want to change the ad before he gets reported for selling something with a fudged/mistaken/fake COA.

Seller ignored my email and didnt chg the ad. Buyer beware!

Ordered some fret wire and a t shirt from Paul. gonna have my MKI re fretted here In the next month or so. it's got a couple flat spots which cause a few notes to buzz. found a shop somewhat close by that does work on really high end repairs. very excited to get this thing playing at its full potential.

Question for the members:
My 4 string Wal is 1.65" at the nut.
Were there many or any built with a 1.5" (Jazz type) nut width?

Mine is 36mm - even less. Mind you, I did ask for it to be like that.

It smells like fraud.

I've emailed him and no reponse...

By the pics, can anyone tell if at least it is a real wal neck?

Hey, all...

Shoulda signed on in here loooong ago... do I get to join the club? Where do I get a number?

Have a pretty common (well, for Wals, anyway), 1992 MKII 5 string with the mahogany body and walnut facing.

I will be buried with this bass.

Also, as I was browsing through these Wal threads until some ungodly hour, I remember seeing a "post a live pic of your Wal here". Not sure if it was here or not.

Two weeks ago, my band was opening up for the Bernie Worrell Orchestra, and much to everyone's surprise, he came out and sat in with us for a song...
