Wal Bass Club.

Those basses look and sound so nice.

How do you all afford bass guitars that start at over $6300?

Never declining jobs or Overtime work :/

sorry about being OT :hiding:

The Seattle guy that bought it a couple months ago, I found him in the faceboox/Seattle bassists page. Seemed like a huge Geddy fan, he pictured it with his GL sig Jazz and black Ric.

*edit* Nope, it will be going to Sweden.

hehehe! :hiding:
well first of: it will go to a "swed" (that´s me!) and i live in vancouver bc at the moment.
and in the end of the year me and my family (and the Wal) are back in sweden!

im so happy I'm like a kid at x-mas!:hyper::hyper::hyper::hyper:

Man!!! We've all been collectively trying to get as much Wals in this side of the pond and now you dog gone going to bring one back across...... Bah!! Fail!!!

Hahahahaha j/k!! Congrats its a beaut!!

Btw, you should put up new pics of her to show her off ;)

I was at the show last night too. I was surprised that Greg wasn't playing a Wal. What is strange is Kelli Scott posted up an Instagram photo a while back of Greg playing a Mk 2. It looked like a maple top and now I'm wondering if it might have been borrowed from someone else. I'm guessing his old silver Mk 1 must be long gone. The PBass tone just wasn't as distinctive but that was my only real gripe. Other than that the show was incredible. Overall I also think they sounded better than when I last saw them in 1997.

looks like another Wal up for sale across the pond:

Too bad on this.... watching this a coupe weeks ago, with Ken Andrews view on the Wal bass (doesn't he own one too) I would've thought a Wal would've made an appearance. If you want to skip most of the show, elapse to 45:30.

I'm not certain if Ken owns a Wal or not. Anytime anyone ever asked him how they got the bass tone on their albums, he always said it was the Wal bass. Heck, perhaps they have one on order from Paul right now. Vegas532, did you happen to be one of the people who got a vinyl? I passed on the option because I was afraid those tickets would sell out faster (the tickets all sold out in a minute anyway). It apparently has a new recording of Solaris on it and I'm dying to hear it. I'm thinking that maybe the Mk 2 in the photograph makes an appearance on this new recording.
