I think it's cool finding the consecutive # sister to a bass. No I'm not buying it, but a seller in the UK is selling the 1 serial number before my beloved W2795 '86 Geddy MkI.

FYI.....to all of us with Wals with the Schaller MS4s tuners....and heavy headstocks....

I purchased a set of MS4s Lights directly from Schaller for one of my Wal Mark II 5-strings...each tuner is 71 grams instead of 115 grams....

It is such a pleasure to be enjoying this Mark II again. I had stopped using it due to the neck-dive....my Mark IIIs are so well balanced and comfortable. Now with the new tuners, and much better balance, I am back to Mark II with relish!

Now to get another set for my fretted Mark II 5....

A question to you all... if you have a Wal with the oil finish, what do you all use to clean and polish it? I was restringing mine and realized a fair amount of crud I hadn't noticed toward the top of the bass where my wrist rests. It'd also be nice to know if there was something I could put on the fingerboard that would bring out the nice grain and color. Thanks.

Mike "Caca de Kick" is the most recent to order a neck from Paul. His is a fretless i think but at least you will have an idea or he may know exact amount and how long to expect to wait for one.

There is one that pops up about once a month on eBay. You would have to put frets in it.

There's a difference between high prices, and ludicrously out of touch pricing, I can't see that one coming down to $5800ish where it should be. And with no details posted, I have to assume he's unfamiliar with Wals and the Wal market.
