Wal Bass Club.

A question to you all... if you have a Wal with the oil finish, what do you all use to clean and polish it? I was restringing mine and realized a fair amount of crud I hadn't noticed toward the top of the bass where my wrist rests. It'd also be nice to know if there was something I could put on the fingerboard that would bring out the nice grain and color. Thanks.

Great question ! I have an advice that came from my friend and talented bass builder , MR Pete Hilton (he worked 12 years with Carl Thompson , the legend) :

Use this product [Invalid or Expired Link Removed] , and you won't believe how it can make your oil finished bass looks like a piece of art !

Except I'm pretty sure that the standard satin finish on Wals is really a satin polyurethane or something, not an oil finish.

+1

I'm not sure if I would even use that stuff on satin. Gloss finish yes

This is for oil finish surfaces ,I'm sure and I use it. If you have an oil Wal finished bass it will work perfectly ... any doubt, test it in a small part of the bass on the back. But I guarantee , if your bass is oil finish it will be ok, if not.... do not use it.

Do these things come from Wal-Mart?
