The MKIIs are so beautiful !
I was talking with Janforth about MkI weight, and as far as I can remember, I've never heard of one being below 10lbs. I've yet to weigh mine but I think they're both most certainly in the 10lbs range, though the Curly BE is noticeably lighter than the Lacewood. Curious to know if there were ever any made, perhaps with a core other than mahogany, that weighed less than that? Thanks!
There has been at least one made by Paul with a swamp ash core, specifically to reduce weight I think. But my impression is that the tone wasn't really the same, and Paul decided not to offer that as an option. Perhaps someone with more inside knowledge on that will chime in...
I've had a couple of Mk1's, and I don't remember either of them being especially heavy (at least, when compared to my MkII's!), but I never actually weighed them.

The funny thing that this is the typical Ebay UK Wal bass seller lol ! They just make us have anxiety attacks every time we read this "Collection in Person only " LOL ! I think this is the 5th Wal from EBAY UK (with collection in person postage) that I saw in the last 5 months !

My Mk II weighed in similar to the fretless.
I'd have to guess there is some sort of stigma in the UK that shipping instruments and using "couriers" to either be unsafe or expensive.
Suppose if you really wanted it, you could make an offer with shipping.....
