So all said and done they are costing about $7500 now?! Wow, they have gone up fast. I remember seeing used ones for $4000 a few years ago. Jim, what is included in "options" out of curiosity? Just different wood choices/tops?

When Paul and I were talking options i asked about a few things but ended up sticking with the basics. Things like gloss finish on the body or neck are extra. An ebony fretted board is more, hardware colors like black or gold, upgraded facings are extra as well.
The 7500 figure basically came from the current £4050 price at today's conversion rate, plus another $1000 bucks for shipping and customs brokerage fees. The used market is still what it is. you can still get used MKi's in the 4500-5000 range. maybe less if you're patient.

bank transfer.....i suppose if you walk into the barn with a wad full a cash, he'll accept that too, but that's really the only two options (bank transfer and paypal)
Any fees associated with bank transfers? sounds like the route I will go. I hate PayPal and their fees.

Your bank will charge you a fee. But once you get to a point where PayPal fees (plus Paul adds $ when paying with paypal) are more than your bank transfer fee....it's a no brainer
THIRD OPTION
its depends on the bank, my bank use to charge $45 to do a wire tranfer but recently upped it to $75. **keep in mind its a per transaction fee* so if you do a deposit, mid payment, and final payment, that 3 separate fees you need to pay for a wire transfer.
also depending what type of account you have, your bank might actually waive it too......

I have a copy of a receipt of a recent build that has a lot of up charges, so I used that to figure your cost. (Also including the new increase)
The conversion right now for the base model alone is £4050 = $6480 USD. If you factor in the up-charge for sycamore and ebony fretboard you're somewhere around $6800, with tax/duty/shipping/payment fees it'll likely be somewhere closer to 8k in the end I would think?
