We did see it. He was showing my wife that body (but I thought it was still rough cut and not shaped yet). And then he pulled some other spalted planks from stock to show her the differences.

My violet Mk3 had similar spots when I first got it, and they're darkened now.

I think your answer would be in, any well made enclosure involving 12” speakers. I have used close to a dozen different heads with Wal basses and it always seems to revert back to the Wal itself and how the 12” pairs with it so well.
As an example...im using just a 4x12 here with an old Mesa 360 wee head.

. just cant right now.There is alot more to the shop than it seems. It is still kinda small, but there are other rooms beyond the walls. Paul just doesnt want a bunch of secrets shown.

Yeah right now I’m using a Mesa 215 loaded with legends and a berg nv215. I’d love a berg 412. I’ve mostly walked away from my 10’s but haven’t had must time with 12’s. I dig the Aguilar gs412
I still have my old Boogie 215 cab since the early 90's. The EV's in it have a great sound but seem tired out and can fart out pretty easy by todays standards. I'll probably replace them with some Eminence 3015's, but I rarely use that cab anymore anyways.
My 210 cabs have really beaming upper mids, I'd like to find a darker speaker replacement for those since I use them alot.

My diesel cab came with after market cb158’s and has a nice low mid hump but not a terrible amount of highs. Paired with the berg which has better highs with its a killer match. My number one amp is my vintage svt but has a couple drawbacks. I run both channels so showing up to a gig and getting told to change volume is a huge pain. As well as adjustments on the fly. Most places won’t put you in the monitor. Then no DI so I have a slightly elaborate setup for that. Also I run a overdrive which would be nice not to. So I’m looking for a amp to simplify all those things and get close to the tone I have now. My list of options that may fit the bill isn’t large.
Aguilar DB750/751- no overdrive but good on everything else.
GK 2001rb- may have it all
Mesa D800+ - may have it all
darkglass 900 - may have it all
Reiner Preamp with my QSC GX5- might have all.
Thought about trying to find a m9 but I hear they have issues. I also have a gk800rb but it’s slightly lacking with the wal as is my Mesa prodigy.

I don't do a lot of low end growl, but I love the pairing of my Eden 210XLT and my WalterWoods blue light special.
