Damn TMB, even with no grit that bass sounds.....well....gritty! Or maybe grind would be a more appropriate word. Just such a bad ass tone. Thanks for sharing that.

In my experience, the output of my Wal is extremely hot. I find that I can blow up (clip) the input to my computer with very little gain. I think you are covered with that WALL of amps, you should be able to find a great sound in there somewhere.

The DI take in ToolMyBass still sounds pretty killer, nice work man! I think I have no choice but to try and put together some soundclips soon. I'll order some fresh strings today and then start looking for a window of time to make it happen.

In the meantime, I did use the Wal in the song that is in my signature. I play with my fingers only, but you can hear the Wal tone for sure. :hyper:

There's a trimpot in the control cavity to set the output gain. All the way up, it's definitely hot, but you can cut it to bring the output in line with your other basses or make it work better with particular effects.

Oh yeah, I love the JC tone, too. I'm on the tweaking quest for the perfect setup and pu height for more natural grit. Any suggestions?

I would have fresh EB's on my Wal constantly. But, with the amount of play time my basses get they barely stay fresh :bawl: . I've thought about buying in bulk, but that still pretty pricey to keep a bright-ish set on. I usually go with R. Cocco's or Elixers for some added life.
