No its not from Jonas Hellborg. I got it from a gentleman in Sweden who was a JH fan and wanted a similar build.

It was initially posted a couple weeks ago....it was assumed it sold outside reverb, but i guess the seller and buyer didn't come to terms it seems since it made available again.
I remember seeing it for sale several months ago on the Bass Centre site, maybe 3 or 4 months ago.
Not to be sappy, but it’s nice to have a group of dedicated aficionados to fall back on.
Bass centre in London I thought was no morr...only shops I know in UK that has or had a Wal for sale are Bassdirect, bassgallery, and Wunjo... I was wondering if he meant Bass Centre in Australia... the one that past recently was the 2017 Paduak
The seller indicated to me that he was open to offers (I didn’t make one), so I doubt he got the full asking price.
On Reverb, if it sells for that listed price it will say "Sold".

Does anyone here drop tune their Wals any lower than Drop D? A few friends have said that the Wal sounds really deep and almost muddy at C#. This concerns me, since I want my upcoming Wal to be a downtuned 4 string. I was wondering, I've never heard a B string on a Wal myself, is what my friends say sound about right to you 5 string Wal owners? This is before effects and EQing. Thanks in advance.
No, my 5 string Wal made me sell my Fender, Lakland, Stingray and Celinder 5 string basses. For me the best B string of them all!
Tuned the 4 string to D and also no problem at all, but the 4 string I never tuned below that.
You need a different string than the regular 105 E for downtuning to C# or lower, could that be the problem with your friends bass?

I spent years tuned to drop C# in my last original band, so yes half step std tuning: D# G# C# F#, and drop C# G# C# F#. No mud at all with my 4 strings, and I used 45-105 gauge strings, which means for std E-G tuning I use 40-100 sets. Although maybe a 110 might be better for some players.

Maybe its the cab that doesnt speak clearly down low?
5 string is a bit of a different world. The B is killer. But if trying to match the tuning of a guitarist, yeah you're not going to easily bounce riffs off open strings like metal/heavy rock guitar tends to do.
