This was last minute fill in gig that we took spur of the moment. It was our first gig and honestly we were a little underprepared so I’d didn’t tell anyone about it. Lol. I’ll let you know about the next one for sure, whenever that will be.

Unfortunately I did not get the prodigy. It was way more of a want than a need and a need arose that I had to spend my money on. The 1001rb still sounded awesome though.

Still debating on the wood choice for the fretboard, almost always played basses with fretboard made of ebony. What are your thoughts on rosewood (or ebony) for a mk2?

I have owned both....Wal tone/sound is so unique that you wont find a difference in sound.
"Experts" who say they can hear a difference, have better hearing than a dog.
Blind "taste tests" and tricking musicians in the studio shows that its more expected there is a difference, then actually, being able to audibly tell the difference.(Especially on stuff thats already recorded)

Thank you for the reply! Truth to be told I have a preference for ebony because a friend of mine, who work wood told me it was more resistant than rosewood. Not sure if that is also true for fingerboards

You really cant go wrong with either choice. If you have ebony now and you like it?...stick with it.
I love mine.

Paul also is open to using Rocklite too for fingerboard if you wanted another option

That’s true but it only matters if you have a fretless bass. For fretted you don’t need such a hard wood.

Really love his P bass sound. Never heard or seen him on a Wal. He must have seen it with his Roxy Music colleagues.
