Check out the video. This guy lists this as an actual Wal and then in the video has the audacity to play the whole "Awe shucks I am not 100% sure if this came from the factory but it sure looks like it" game for CYA.

Interesting that Wal looks to have a triple veneer between the paduak and mahogany.. like a maple/Walnut/maple combination, looks really nice

Very early Custom, before they'd really tied down the formula. Interesting reference in the ad to Ivan Bozicevic - he was part of the Wal team in the late 70s and early 80s and did a goodly bit of the electronics design!

From first and only owner (my father). Bass was brought to Croatia
by his close friend Ivan Bozicevic (member of the electronics development
team at Wal)

Well, after 5 torturous days dealing with Fedex, Customs, USDA, and weather delays... it has finally arrived, and I cannot speak well enough of this instrument... I've owned high end Alembics, which I used to think were the benchmark, but I must confess this takes it to another level, especially in playability.. I've only plugged it In for about an hour or so, but right out for the box, it was stunning... higher tension than my Fenders, and a good bit more than my Warwick... and I love that.. increadilby tight, both tonally and in feel.. 5 stars out of 5! Well worth the cost (close to $14000 with taxes and shipping), and wait... just under 3 years.

no worries... it's not cheap! but for this bass... I had to pull all the stops out..

the strap is from Don and Barb Mohr at https://www.swdistinctions.com/.../horse-thieves-guitar.../ in Arizona and the buckle from Max Lang in Texas (added $695)... they did the final assembly, and I had the buckle plated in 24K gold to match the bass hardware ($250)... so all told about 2K

How do I use the XLR output? I tried putting a ¼" dummy into the jack, and plugged into a Line level DI box input.. nothing.. Is it instrument level output and not driving the line maybe?
