well maybe the value was in it's alleged prior owner? I'm not a huge fan, but if someone was selling one played by someone I admire., I might overlook the issues.
... he had a friend in the furniture business and had him strip the paint off and respray in an attempt for restoration...
Good info, interesting... thanks for posting.
I didn't see anything in the listing about it being a refin. I suppose it's possible that the seller didn't know about it, but I think I'd be pretty peeved to find out after I'd boughten it.
OCD is killin me....two different strap lock systems?![]()
Yes, I ordered with Dunlop strap locks. The MIDI has the original Wal strap buttons.
Thanks for the correction. In any case it simply doesn't bother me because I almost never have the Wals side by side like in the photos. Furthermore I have never used the MIDI with a strap, I've always played it sitting down. Those are not original buttons on the midi, those are Schaller strap lock buttons in your picture
I don't know if this has been shared in here before... maybe someone missed it anyway... worth a re-share..
nice MK1 too...
From what I have read the original owner helped pick out the body at the shop. I think Paul might have told me ??
