I have longed for a Wah bass for many years. This one looks like they found it laying in the forest where they took the pictures.

I'm watching this very closely. If by some insane chance everything is legit this is a chance for a normal person to enjoy something typically only the wealthy get to enjoy.
Somehow it will end up being legit, and we will all fall into a deep Wal depression for not having jumped on it when we had the chance haha
EXACTLY! Even if I had it and couldn't get around playing it upside down I could still fix it up and sell it to someone who will enjoy it and use the money on something else. Or see if someone has a lefty Wal laying around who wants a trade. Do fakes usually have the correct-looking electronics, the tape inside the cavity, stickers, etc? It looks like someone used a bucket of lacquer to try to save the headstock from splitting into fourteen pieces.
I have no experience is spotting Wal fakes, this one looks to me like a unit that completely escaped care and had the life bashed out of it. The only thing I can see that's "fakey" is the boat cover. Anyone else have something else (or maybe even a list of things) in their fake-spotting experience that says this isn't a real Wal?

The pics are of a real Wal.
But that price isn't. So could be a hijacked account? That has surely happened several times before.
However. That finish is trashed! Obviously lived in a high humidity area.

There was a right handed european guy floating around the Wal pages for years with a lefty Mk1 he bought cheap years ago, but had been playing it restrung and upsidedown til he could find someone to trade. Wonder whatever happened to him?

Ah okay. The page layout is different from what I normally see an auction page be. Usually (on US ebay) there's a square box to type your actual bid digits into. Didn't see it here, so looked way too odd.
The title being "Wah" still seems like a hijack to me, and the fella can't tell what the headstock logo really says.

My biggest concern on this one, aside from a possible hijacked account, is that the seller says it could take a very long, undefined time to deliver... which is always a red flag to me... this could push past the PayPal/eBay claims deadlines.
The seller still has it listed on his web site he noted in the listing, at around the starting price of the auction.
I def need to start showing her more love. I dont play it enough. Previous owners didn't play it much either.
I should contact Paul soon to inquire about an electronics service as its from 1997. Hard to believe Andrew (aka Oddio who started this thread) has been gone for 9 years now. :-(
