Warrior Club Part 2

Thanks guys, I almost had a heart attack when I found out I didn't know the scale length on mine new bass, pays to double check. So how about anyone knowing anything to do with tuning piccolo strings? Do I just tune to 440 Hz and I'll be sweet? And piccolo strings being in the upper register does that mean that the setup of inntonation and harmonics is a little more fiddly?

Just waiting for my warrior to be cleared of customs so they can send it to me. Should be here Monday or Tuesday next week. It's killer just waiting for it. What's the member count up to now? Can I grab a number now or next week?

I somehow lost the list of numbers. I was going to rebuild it. It might take a while. How about number 40. I don't think we made it that high. Sounds like a good place to start.

Anyone have experience with an ebony board on a wenge neck? Looking at a new build, and JD has one of those ready to go.

I don't have any experience with that combination but it sounds interesting. I think you should definitely buy it so you can sell it to me in about 6 months or so. That way it gives me time to save and I'll get to expand my collection of warrior basses formerly owned by lsu. ;)

You are probably not the only one thinking that. :)

There is something about the Warrior white finish that gets me every time. I'm going to have mine refinished to white. It would look jut like this in a 4 string.

Holuy Craparoni!!! that thing is super eye candy. I am an addict on white basses (got 2 and one vintage white myself and my Warrior is a King's closet so natural wood colors there.. that is an awesome looking Warrior !!!

I added Gotoh 707 tuners and replaced wooden knobs with some metal Sadowskys, and really want to switch out the wood covered pickups for plain black plastic Barts.

011-1.jpg

* New standard plastic Barts installed
* Parallel humbucking/Single coil/Series humbucking coil taps for each pickup
* Bartolini preamp returned to stock specs and removed that garbage 'sparkle' circuit

This has easily become the favorite bass I've owned so far with these mods. Vic was 100% correct with his term of the custom 'sparkle' and 'fat' circuit choking the sound of the bass! Night and day. It's fatter, wider low mids (eq flat), and that shrill high end is gone. :hyper:

The coil taps have given me an unbelievable range of tones, it looks like a lot to mess with but I thought with having the quad coil p/ups, I might as well have all the versatility they offer.
