Warrior Club Part 2

Well after buying and trying many Warriors and talking to JD about my dream bass I have finally started the process of having it built. I will have the Body in Ash and top in Flamed Spalted Maple with a Blue Burst Poly finish. The neck will be a 5 piece Maple and Walnut with Ebony and Blue Shell inlays to match the Burst and Blue Binding on the neck. The pickups after alot of studying and getting feedback from other owners and JD will be the Dual Coil Barts and the preamp will have Active passive options to added to the Custom USA Bart Preamp they use. The only difference in this bass pictures will be Fretboard (Ebony), pickups (Dual Coil) and Inlays and of course not a single cut. I love the wood I picked out for this build. JD had it set aside for a special build.
JD sent me a picture of the new Warrior Levy Croc Leather bag I will get with my new Dream Warrior Build. Still about a 1-2 month before completion.
These run $550+ for the croc leather. I've owned the regular Levy Leather and they are amazing cases.

First picture I've gotten of the body after being sculpted. The Spalt top on this bass if very nice IMO. Here is also the fretboard after inlays was first put in. He still has to do the Abolone binding and Headstock binding. This bass will have a Blue Burst stain and Ply finish. I'm getting excited.
JD sent me a picture of the Body almost ready for the Trans Blue Clear paint he will be doing next week. Getting excited about this bass.
I just saw that Saturday when I was there to pick up mycustom 5 and drop off a '97 for wood knobs and glockenklang pre.

That is his new JerriDesigns Strap and they are very nice but very expensive. I wanted to get one but couldn't pull the trigger lol. Very nice Warriors you have there. Especially like the Led Sword and side dots.

Yep theybare amazing and yes they are very expensive but being only #2 I had to have it lol. Also the new hard case they have, amazing!!! Be sure to go to NAMM or watch their posts for the release of it. Beautiful and expensive I'm sure.
Thanks! I don't like fret markers on board but so like the typical Warrior so had him put blue Leds on side and make the sword show the led and pearloid when turned off. The camphor burl was his change on the headstock and I love it
I specd out and purchased that Custom Rosewood Warrior from JD back in December of 16 and it is an amazing bass folks. Sounds as good as any bass I've played in a full band setting. You won't find a nicer bass for the money.
How long have you waited on this build? I see it has the poly finish and was wondering about build time for that.
I have waited nearly two years. I don't think it necessarily takes that long, but for whatever reasons, what was supposed to be a 4-6 month lead time has stretched out interminably, including the fact that the bass was just sent to the wrong address.
