Warwick Fortress Footmen, unite!

What a fun thread!

Here's my Green Flashback, with 2TEK bridge--sustain for days. Bought it new in '98, but I think it was in the NC store for a while. I replaced the stock pickups with BassLines...the OEMs were a bit too noisy/low output for my tastes.

Playing with the worship team tonight, and I heard the leader tell the soundguy "I love the tone of that bass!" I couldn't agree more.

Not sure if you can see it in the pic, but there is a gash in the upper wing near the top left pickguard screw where you can see the ash body. Any ideas on how I can cover that wound and match the green? I couldn't find any help on the Warwick website.

Thanks for the community..you bassists rock!

Well Joe, I've got half a mind to ignore you because you replaced those amazing MEC lipstick pickups (did you hang onto those, by the way?) but I'm a nice guy, so here's your number... Congrats on the Flashback - there are only a couple hundred of those around!

RC, thanks for giving me a number, even with the mod.

Yes, I do still have the MEC pickups and original pickguard.

The pickguards have a beautiful yellow patina now...thanks for a great bass, Warwick!

I was just messin' with ya. At least you kept the old parts! Be sure to keep them - the Flashback is a rare bird and honestly, those pickups sound amazing, like none other! My flashback is my go-to bass for country as well as psych-rock.

My turn....

Indeed it is! I saw a 4-string Fortress Masterman sell for almost $1200 on ebay a couple weeks back - a few hundred more than they usually go for. And worth every penny, I'm sure!

Sorry they never made any in pink for ya!

Love this 97' Fortress, picked it up for $700 off EBay a couple months ago in Mint cond. Totally under rated bass! Such a nice feel to it.
I'm hoping the pic is below? I've never used this option yet.

That was my Fortress. Sad to see it go but needed the money. Recently I sold m Spector Euro LX, my German Corvette, and my Masterman. :( down to a NT thumb and a Wenge Cirrus and I may be getting rid of the thumb to make room for my custom Marco Bass that is on the way.

Thank You! No,Please do sign me up brother. I'm not a "full" member on TB,so I'm not sure what all I can and cannot do on here?( As far as joining clubs etc...) Looks like I'm member #33 =cool. And here's another shot of the lovely flame on this of this '97 Fortress One.
