Also. I have a friend with a beat up master man. The finish is beat up as well as the hardware tarnished. Any idea on price to ask? An idea what the price is for a used wenge neck as well? He could always part it out.

Depends what you mean by "beat up"! 4 strings or 5? Keep in mind that the Mastermans (Mastermen) are the most popular of the fortress series... with everyone except me (I don't slap!)

I love my Masterman and I don't slap either! (Not very well anyway) Great range of tones in these things, including the slap tones you can get out of them!
They DO get a good range of tones for having both pickups so close to the bridge. Overall the Masterman has a solid, authoritative sound - but I'm a neck pickup guy so I don't even appreciate the playing area. I do want to get a fortress J5 one of these days... and another Flashback - man, what a unique instrument that is. NOTHING sounds like it, and it sounds GREAT.

I REALLY dig that green. But you probably won't like this bass very much. Let me know when you decide to sell it
